Pedestal
The Brady pedestal table features a square tube column and plate base with felt glides. The minimal design provides strength while complementing and adapting to any style space. Our solid wood table tops come standard with an antimicrobial top coat.
pedestal
1560s, "base supporting a column, statue, etc.; that which serves as a foot or support," from French piédestal (1540s), from Italian piedistallo "base of a pillar," from pie "foot" (from Latin pes "foot;" from PIE root *ped- "foot") + di "of" + Old Italian stallo "stall, place, seat," from a Germanic source (see stall (n.1)). The spelling in English was influenced by Latin pedem "foot." An Old English word for it was fotstan, literally "foot-stone." Figurative sense of put (someone) on a pedestal "regard as highly admirable" is attested by 1859.
"place in a stable for animals," Old English steall "standing place, position, state; place where cattle are kept, stable; fishing ground," from Proto-Germanic *stalli- (source also of Old Norse stallr "pedestal for idols, altar; crib, manger," Old Frisian stal, Old High German stall "stand, place, stable, stall," German Stall "stable," Stelle "place"), perhaps from PIE *stol-no-, suffixed form of root *stel- "to put, stand, put in order," with derivatives referring to a standing object or place.
The pedestal base is compatible with our solid steel Clamping Forks (see below), providing a high degree of flexibility when securing post assemblies to an optical table. If space is an issue, our CL8, CF038-P5, and CF038C(/M)-P5 clamps offer a space-saving alternative to secure our posts to an optical table.
These pedestal pillars, which are fabricated from 303 stainless steel, are 1" (25.0 mm) in diameter, have 1/4"-20 (M6) taps on both ends, and are available in a variety of lengths. The 1/4"-20 (M6) thread allows for easy integration of Ø1" post extensions and spacers. A Ø0.24" (6.0 mm) through hole is located on the side of each post [except the RS05P(/M) post] and can be used with a 3/16" (5 mm) balldriver or the SPW501 Spanner Wrench to provide extra leverage during tightening.
These clamping forks are designed to provide exceptional clamping force when used with our pedestal-style Ø1/2" post holders or the Ø1" pedestal posts sold above. Fabricated from solid 303 stainless steel, all of these clamping forks create three points of contact with the table for high stability.
These pedestal pillars, which are fabricated from 303 stainless steel, are 1" (25.0 mm) in diameter, have 8-32 (M4) taps on both ends, and are available in a variety of lengths. The 8-32 (M4) taps are compatible with many optomechanical devices such as most of our kinematic mounts. A Ø0.24" (6.0 mm) through hole is located on the side of each post (except the RS05P8E and RS05P4M posts) and can be used with a 3/16" (5 mm) balldriver or the SPW501 Spanner Wrench to provide extra leverage during tightening. These posts are also available with 1/4"-20 (M6) taps; please see below for details.
Thorlabs' CL8 pedestal post clamp secures our Ø1" and Ø1.5" pedestal posts to an optical table or breadboard. Its V-shaped tip provides two-point contact with the post perimeter and its rounded edge increases the contact area along the table.
Designed and tested to withstand the harshest of environmental conditions, including UV, chemical and impact resistance, the FiberFirst Pedestal consists of a base and 2 part interlocking removable cover. The rear wall of the cover includes built in multi-use backplane for mounting various products inside of the pedestal. Two industry standard telco security screws (216) are used to attach and lock the cover to the base.
The CraftSmart Smart FiberFirst Pedestal incorporates field-tested slack management and fiber splice trays to provide a craft-friendly, splice only access solution. The splice only pedestal configuration supports the specific drop cable, multi-fiber and ring cut requirements.
The FieldSmart 144 Port PON Pedestal Insert for Direct Bury is housed in the CraftSmart FiberFirst Pedestal and provides a cost-effective solution to service up to 144-homes within a Clearview optimized design for PON applications. Accepting up to 13 Clearview Cassettes and five WaveSmart Ruggedized or High Density Splitters, the PON in Pedestal scales to meet the network requirements when placing a larger PON cabinet is not desired or cost-effective. Providing the ultimate future- proof flexibility, the Pedestal Insert can be deployed as a drop only pedestal, then easily converted to a distributed PON solution when required.
The FieldSmart 144-Port PON Pedestal Insert incorporates field-tested designs to provide a solution that is easily installed and modified. Whether your environment calls for splice only drops or demands the sophistication of a Clearview Cassette solution, a FieldSmart Pedestal Insert can be configured to support multiple access point configurations. Compatible with a variety of RUS listed pedestals, the insert provides splicing and/or interconnect connectivity with slack-storage for drop cable scenarios or mid-span and ring-cut functionality for up to a 288 OSP fiber sheath.
The pedestal sign is an endosteal new bone formation below the distal end of the stem and it usually extends over 50% of the canal1. Distal pedestal formation and calcar hypertrophy imply prosthesis-to-bone stress transfer away from the porous coating metaphyseal part of the implant and are associated with instability1,2. The formation of this shelf of new bone is an apparent attempt to support the tip of the prosthesis.
The PRO adjustable pedestals are suitable for timber decks and stone patios with various assembly heights. The Profi-Line series of adjustable pedestals from Eurotec provides you with a modular system: innovative, universal, versatile and user-friendly! The series comprises six adjustable pedestals of different heights. Their assembly heights can be altered with extension rings or extension plates. The adjustable pedestal is completed by three different types of adapter:
*The load-bearing capacities quoted below represent recommended values. With these loads, the adjustable pedestals only deform by approx. 2 mm. The load-bearing capacity before actual fracture is multiple times higher.
For long lasting durability and low maintenance, the new stainless steel Eaton's Powerhouse SS pedestal is the most resilient power center offered. We have designed a stainless steel pedestal that will meet and exceed all applicable codes and withstand harsh inland and coastal environments. 041b061a72
